Paolo Banchero's move is the cleanest example of the shift I keep pushing athletes toward. He didn't wait for Triad to offer him an endorsement, he went and bought a stake in a company he'd already been loyal to for free since he was 14. That's the difference between being a brand's spokesperson and being on its cap table - one ends when the contract does, the other keeps paying as the company grows. The Kinexx raise opening to non-accredited investors is worth watching too: crowdfunded modular housing backed by a roster of NFL and MLB players means regular fans can now own a piece of the same deal the athletes are in, not just buy the jersey.
